Hair cuts!!

Ever thought you would love to do something exciting and different with your hair?? Look at these big changes!!

This was a really fun change for a long time client. She has some fun swinging hair that she love to let do its thing. She was deffinetly ready for something different. 

This young girls before photo was done the day before at her home. When she came to me, it was after she had had rough sections it off from ponytails to be donated during the local cop for cancer bike run. We gave her a fun layered short style to blend in all the pieces so she could flip it out a bit if she wants. Good on her for donating her hair to such a good cause! 

Julie's update

Julie is having a hard time getting her videos up upload. So for the time, I will type out a little update. 

Julie is not noticing a big difference in ther photos. But has a general feeling of wellness. (Way to go!!)

Hoping that this coming month will brin more of a change now that she is feeling the difference!

Chocolate Peanut butter PROfit bars!

I'm not sure about you... But I love me some peanut butter and chocolate. I'm not sure who came up with this recipe.. But mmm.

I came up with a few modifications to make this fit with how I like to eat. (If you follow my household blog, you will be used to this.)

so here is my version!!
2C steel cut oats
1/2 rough cut oats
1 scoop of It Works! Ultimate PROfit (Chocolate flavour 
2 T Peanut butter
3T ground flax soaked in 9T water
2 mashed banana's
1T honey
7T almond milk. (I mixed chocolate and unsweetend)
1t cinnamon

Mix per instructions above. (Put the ground flax and water mixture in instead of the eggs)
Pour into square pan, (I actually split mine into 2 bread pans) and bake as directed.
Cut into 8 bars.

Elle #6

Here's another post by Elle!

Ok so after the horrifying last blog I shamlessly posted here is the next!

So the prune juice didn't work after all. Im assuming the irregularity is seriously hurting my progress because I managed to jump quickly from the 148 back up to 150 in no time. After almost a week of prune juice and NOTHING I took myself into the walmart pharmacy. The lady was stunned at the lack of progress from the prune juice. So she shows me the stuff you use for colonoscopy cleansing. 1/4 to half the bottle for a laxative a full bottle for a colonoscopy. It also said if there is no action from this stuff call your doctor because you have a serious issue. So needless to say, there was no action so I was forced to consume the ENTIRE bottle. That got things going! I have been taking laxitives daily since to help move things until I can get into my doctor. This shit just isn't right.
But I have been using my elliptical this week and its also helping. This morning I was 145.4lbs. I have been losing ounces daily it seems which is very motivating. I can fit into my dress pants from last year which is really encouraging.  
I am still taking the suppliments but I'm out of wraps. I think the things that are working the best for me are the fat/carb fighters. Im down 5lbs since starting the 90 day challenge. It doesn't seem like much, but I've gained and lost the same 5 lbs a few times now! My first goal is to get down to 140lbs. And I know, I know what some of you are probably thinking. "whats the skinny girl doing, trying to lose weight?" Im still quite chubby at this weight and am still muffin topping over size 11 jeans When I get to 140lbs I will still fit into size 11 jeans but the muffin top should be gone Hard to believe I had to lose 30lbs in order to drop 1 pants size! But its true. I started weight watchers at 168lbs in size 13 jeans. When I got down to 140 last year, I was into size 11 :D 
well that's it for now I guess...

Hope your feeling better Elle!

Ok so here is the thanksgiving blog I'm sure you have all been waiting for. I must warn you, some of it will be a "too much info" part, but I will be sure to warn you. Proceed with caution.
I had a decent weekend actually. Friday's diet was blown when my best friend invited me out for lunch. We went to the ashburhnam ale place on hunter street. We talked about our weight loss, she has lost 50lbs just by going gluten free. Anyways, I noticed she was dressed up when she got in my car. It was all an illusion, and she told me she just had on a shitty shirt with leggings. It seemed dressy because she had boots on. WOW! I now wanted some of these leggings. So we went to stitches after sucking back lunch and large carmel mocha's from starbucks.
The great part about this shopping trip, was everything was buy one get one half off. Plus the leggings were onlyl $10 to start with. Though I don't think the leggings were part of the BOGO sale. Anyways, so I tried on these leggings that appeared to be jeans ( back pocket and buttons made them seem like jeans.) So I try them on and decide I'm probably one of those people who shouldn't wear leggings. Just because I can get them on doesn't mean I should have them on. My legs looked fat especially with these pants that were practically painted on me. My best friend would never lie to me, so she said to put on one of her boots. The magic is in the boots. OK so I put it on. WOW! I immediately had one skinny leg. I put on both boots and had 2 skinny legs. Holy shit, the boots some how make you look skinny. So I bought 4 pairs of leggings and then went to sears to buy boots that were also half off. I felt great in these new clothes. I felt skinny, and sexy and like I was on top of the world. But that's probably where this happy story ends.
Thanks to the fantastic food I consumed the first couple days of thanksgiving weekend, I was up to almost 151lbs (up from 148) No biggie I thought. I went into thanksgiving dinner on sunday night prepared to eat until I wanted to die. And I did. I ate all the shit I stopped eating. Potatoes, gravy, deserts etc. I stuffed myself until I was sick. That was sunday.
Monday morning, my mom did thanksgiving brunch. I had been craving pancakes for days. So I ate 4. and a large piece of peameal on a croissant. then 2 more croissants and a tea buiscut. And hashbrowns, and fruit. Then I went home. No dinner for me that night but my fantastic boyfriend, who we will call Donald for the sake of this blog, decided just before dinner time he wanted cookies. Fine, whats a little more junk this weekend? So we both polished off a row of cookies each. No biggie. I was beyond full. Not only was I now accustomed to eating smaller, very healthy meals, but I had spent 3 days over eating and eating too much unhealthy stuff.
We are now at the too much info, proceed with caution part. Donald goes and takes his 4th shit for the day. I mention that it must be nice seeing how irregular I am. I mention that Im going to get some prune juice to help move things daily. I have been drinking tons of water which is supposed to help this stuff, but I guess my bowels are just too stubborn. I had read online that not pooping every day slows down weight loss and that some ones' doctor said that we have like 30 feet of intestines that will fill with poop. Holy shit eh? I cant imagine having a total blockage like that.
Anyways, so we are watching The Firm on dvd before bed. Good movie for an oldie from the walmart $5 bin. My stomach was now so full from everything I had ate, that I complained to Donalld that my stomach was protruding like I was super pregnant, and I seriouslyl just needed to puke. I cant say I know anyone who has ever puked from eating too much. I started getting hot flashes ( I am ALWAYS cold, so this is how I know I am getting sick with a cold or something) Donald is like maybe you have to shit? I told him my stomach hurt from over filling with food, it was upper pain, not shit pains. So because I actually ffelt like I was going to be sick I go into the bathroom and managed to shit. I felt way better. But still felt on fire. So I went back to my room and sat with my garbage can in front of the open window because I was on fire. Of course I start puking but managed to get it into the garbage. Donald hid behind the blankets laughing at me. Great eh? I felt ok, so I brushed my teeth and got back into bed and we watched more movie.
As if the fuckign hot flashes didn't start again. Off to the bathroom I go again. And let me tell you what I experienced was horrifying. I was so sick, that I had the most explosive shit the world has ever seen. It was like Van Wilder, when they give tara reids boyfriend the colon blow and he shits in the garbage can in his job interview. Only mine was 10000000 times worse. Except I was still puking and managed to puke all over my bathroom floor. Donald was realizing that this shit was serious. Because there was more puke coming, I flushed the shit and put my face in the toilet and puked to the point where I was actually dizzy and starting to fade away. I felt another huge shit coming so as I got up to get back on the toilet it just exploded out of me again, but so intensely it actually ran down my leg, as I puked on the floor. Donald comes into the bathroom to check on me and says " holy fuck babes". I was a hot mess. Don't judge was all I could say. And get me a drink of pop, I feel dizzy from low sugar levels. He's outside the bathroom yelling 'its those vitamins, throw them out they aren't good for you' blah blah. My response was "fuck off and get me the pop" No, the detoxing greens, gallons and gallons of water had finally cleansed my system and pushed 30 feet of intestinal blockage out. This is seriously the most horrifying thing that has ever happened to me. And I share it with complete strangers because I guess the moral of the story is when you aren't used to eating big meals, don't even try. It starts as a good idea but it is not. And make the prune juice plan BEFORE it gets too bad. I hope the people reading this have had a good laugh at the expense of my complete mortification.
SO I guess what you really want to know is this: Overnight, I managed to puke and shit myself back to 148lbs. Or I had 3 lbs of shit built up in my intenstines. Equally sick. The pictures are from this morning after my night of mortification. I am going out to get prune juice after Dinner.
I also decided that to jump start some more weight loss (it seems to have pateau'd) I am going to change things up with my diet. Im going to keep doing my suppliments, but for breakfast I had fruit, for lunch I got stuff to make veggie pitas (1/2 pita is 2 pts) and Im ging to have a full pita with meat and cheese as well as veggies (this may be 10 pts is my guess? (4 pts for full pita plus 3 or 4 pts for both cheese and meat?) Either way the healthier meal choices should jump start me again. I will still eat fruit (0pts) during the day if I need more food or can have a 2 pt shake. But my dinner's just wont be a free for all

PS: The stomach "bum" is way less droopy now. I don't know if it was the wraps or the defining lotion. But either way im super pleased that its almost gone from the side view.

Elle Post #4

Here's another post from Elle. Her and Julie have decided to do this wellness challenge during 2 huge holiday seasons. Here's to both of them for all the hard work they are putting in to follow their roads to wellness on their terms!!

Im going into Thanksgiving weekend at 148lbs. I managed to lose the couple of pounds I gained from falling off the wagon in my last blog. Hopefully this thanksgiving weekend wont be a complete write off. My thermo fit arrived last night so I'm really excited to start that. I did start it last night and was really pleased that I didn't have any side effects. ( I was worried about it causing heart palpitations and increasing my headaches. Both are things I have usually)
I guess I haven't yet actually posted what my eating in a day looks like. So Ideally it looks like this:
I am not hungry for breakfast, so this is why I eat so little.
8am: Itworks defining gel lotion 1 thermo fit (started this last night) Either half a muffin(points unknown), a little fruit(0 points) or 1 slice of weight watchers toast(1point)
9am: 1 medium Tim Hortons black coffee- 0 points
1045: Water bottle with 2 scoops (I serving) of greens suppliments- 0 points
1130am: 1 thermo fit supplement 1 it works protein shake made with water- Up to 2 points (this is because 1 full scoop is 2 points, but sometimes I put in a little less)
Then I will probably have 1 bottle of water every hour or so from about 1230 until bedtime. I try to drink this much anyways lol Sometimes I drink less if I feel too full and like I might be sick. Sometimes water does that.
For dinner (time varies between 5-7 depending on whats going on)
1 thermo fit supplement 15 minutes prior to eating. 1 fat fighter supplement an hour after eating. At this point with breakfast and lunch combined, I may have eaten at most 4 points ( 2pts lunch shake and at most 2 pts for the muffin if I eat that) So in my mind, that means I have 22 points worth of dinner to eat:D So generally I will eat whatever I want because that's a lot of points to eat through.
Some things I might eat for dinner:
-Pasta with spaghetti sauce, maybe meat sauce or Alfredo sauce -Chicken with vegetables, maybe broccoli cheese rice (sidekicks kind) -Hot sausages from Costco and maybe veggies or rice(broccoli and ccheese sidekicks kind) -maybe steak and veggies (well done) -We may go to a restaurant, order pizza or some other kind of fast food.
Anyways, back to the actual blog. I haven't ate the best this week even though I had some weight gain from last week. We have treats in our house right now, so we had cookies the other day, chips and last night we had some of the leftover pie. I don't buy treats that way I don't eat them. I blame my boyfriend for this one. He is the snacker and I am guilty of no willpower lol I do take 2 fat fighters before eating this snack food though. Im disappointed again that its been hard to stick to proper eating this week. I also only managed to use the elliptical one day this week. But im off today and plan to do it today and on the weekend.
Heather keeps telling me people are following our blogs so one thing that keeps me motivated is that I know people are reading, and I feel like they are counting on me to do well and prove to them that this itworks system works. So this keeps me motivated.
I must confess, that I am really nervous about it being thanksgiving weekend. My favorite part of thanksgiving is the potatoes and gravy, stuffing and dessert. Especially stuffing, its beyond my favorite. And typically what happens, is that everyone always eats until they burst. Me included haha!! Hopefully the thermo fit and the excersize helps the over eating and hopefully when its all said and done, I at least stay the same weight- no gain or loss. I have one dinner to go to sunday night and a thanksgiving breakfast Monday morning. I am also going to do a wrap before these weekend festivities start!

Elle post #3

Elle, we are all cheering for you!! You can do it!! So glad you two are leaning on each other for support!

I was so excited about how awesome I was doing with Heather's 90 day challenge. And then the weekend came. And then not only did I fall off the wagon, but then the wagon ran me over. Then backed up and ran me over again.
This weekend consisted of pizza, breakfast buffet at marks finer diner, pie, ice cream sandwiches, a bag of crackers, chips and that was enough to gain back all the weight I lost this week. I should know better because the second I deviate from "good" eating it shows on the scale the next day. So needless to say I'm super disappointed in myself. Even though a little bit here and there over the weekend didn't seem so bad, as it turned out it was. Seriously, who was supposed to be supervising me this weekend? They are officially fired.
But today is a new day, so not only is my plan to lose the weight I put on this week, but to lose a bit more. I was facebooking "Julie" the other 90 day challenge girl this weekend. I decided I will try the thermo fit in my supplement regime. I didn't get them at first because I'm prone to headaches and heart palpitations with other brands of this type of metabolism booster. Julie said that she didn't have any side effects. So I decided I will try it. I ordered it and now I will impatiently wait.
I also decided that I will start using my elliptical again *shudders* to try to speed up the weight loss process. My goal will be 30 minutes a day. And I will do it in front of my tv. I absolutely HATE exercise and the Itworks program was working for me without it. It doesn't give me more energy and I don't enjoy it. But because I decided that take out and ice cream was a good idea this weekend, my consequence is the elliptical.
Hopefully week 2 will end better than my first week did. Just in time for thanksgiving

Julie' video Diary!!

Julie's day 3 Update!

(Gotta love her! pure honesty. way to go with your commitment!!)

So the other night when I thought I was having greasy grilled cheese, I ended up having fettucine alfreado. Because everytime i eat pasta, Im up a couple pounds overnight, I thought i'd try that recipe facebook had circulating with the sauce made out of cauliflower. To my surprise, it wasn't that bad. Its not cream sauce, and im spoiled with knowing what delicious, artery clogging cream sauce tastes like, but really, the cauliflower stuff wasn't bad. I give it an 8/10.
ANYWAYS, I took the fat fighters before I ate it. After that i proceeded to inhale a shit load of those "healthy" veggie straw chip like things. You know those ones? To my surprise the next morning I was only up .6 of a pound. Woo Hoo! At this point i am a firm believer of these fat pills. They truly are the "eat whatever you want" or "get out of jail free" cards in the food world.
Yesterday I ate my regular morning half of muffin, a pro fit shake for lunch. This time I put in a whole scoop in hopes it would be more tasty. Nope, with water it still kind of sucked. The logical answer to this issue would be to blend it into a yogurt smoothie or actually use milk. But no, Im too stubborn and want t eat the least amount of points to maximize my results. (when i get some more weight off I will sacrifice the points) So off to walmart I went to get anther bottle of vanilla extract. Be warned, the vanilla makes it slightly better, but not great. I even checked the points for cocoa. But i'd rather sacrifice the .6 of a point per serving eating dairy queen or something. Besides it starts out as .6 of a point, but really am I only going to put in 1 spoon? NO WAY! So all of a sudden im stuffing 3 pts of cocoa into my 2 pt shake.
For dinner, I actually ate 2 square pieces of peperoni pizza from littlel cesars. Not just regular pizza, but the square pizza that's all super thick crust! With fat fighters of course! This morning I was down 1 pound. I decided instead of mixing my greens with water mid morning, that today I will mix them into my coffee. BAD IDEA!! Its even grosser! But it could always be worse.
I have been using the it works lotion twice daily, in the morning and at night. Unless Ive wrapped, then i don't do the lotion at night. I did my 2nd wrap Tuesday so im due for another one. I will do that this morning I suppose.

Elle Post #1

Here is the first post by  Elle.   Thank you Elle for taking us on this journey with you.

was skeptical at first about trying the Itworks wraps. Usually, the results are from people doing other things besides the wraps. So when they were on for $25 just to try, I figured I didn't have much to lose. I had been following weight watchers for a little while and managed to lose about 18lbs so far. Heather told me I had to lay off the diet coke and crystal light to get the best results. So I did.

I tried my first wrap for itself when I was about 155 lbs. I saw some results from the wrap after the 45 minutes but nothing drastic. I was really happy that the saggy "bum stomach" as I call it (from having babies) seemed to shrink . So that little bit of change was enough to make me less skeptical. I wanted to try the protein shakes from Itworks as well so when this 90 day challenge came up, I was happy to try it. I ordered my Profit pack and impatiently waited for the products to arrive.
In the meantime I followed my weight watchers and stopped drinking aspartame, and lost another couple of pounds. I think it may have been aspartame bloat that finally went away. FINALLY on Monday this week, my package arrived. I had fat fighter pills before my dinner and also had a bottle of water with the greens in it. I then inhaled a ridiculous amount of Chinese food and hoped for the best.
Because Im ridiculous, I weigh myself every morning. If I keep my good eating on track, my weight either stays the same or goes down a fraction of a pound. (I have decimals on my scale) The slight change keeps me motivated. SO this tuesday morning after gorging on Chinese food, my weight actually went down. It said I was 150.8lbs. Clearly I was super excited about this. I had green's that day, a shake for lunch and before dinner I weighed again. I was down to 150.6lbs. Even sweeter! I took more fat fighters ate left over chinese food and fries, and did another wrap Tuesday night.
So this morning, I got on the scale and to my surprise I went down to 149lbs!! Clearly i'm super excited, and a believer now that these fat fighting pills must work. Otherwise eating that much Chinese SHOULD have increased my weight by a lb or 2, or at best stayed the same. Hopefully after I eat some greasy assed grilled cheese with a pound or so of cheese, the fat fighters still work.
*I should mention that I cheat on weight watchers. By cheating, I mean I eat fruit for breakfast because im not hungry then, and I eat fruit for lunch or cut up veggies. I figure if I eat 0 points all day I will eat whatever I want for dinner Its probably abuse of the program, but I don't care lol. Lately Ive been eating half a banana muffin (made with applesauce instead of sugar) for breakfast and I still have a black coffee in the morning.*
*I should also mention that because I'm cheap, and want to make this small bag of protein powder last as long as I can, I actually only put in half a scoop. It still does the trick, curbing my hunger but it tastes disgusting all diluted. I added a bit of vanilla extract but it didn't make it much better. I bet it would be fine mixed with milk instead of water, but I'm trying to save the weight watchers points. Also, the greens are less than tasty also, but im choking them down for the cause. *


And so, it begins!!

For my 90 day challenge I have had 2 brave women step forward and commit.  I would like to take a moment to introduce them!

My first brave soul we will call Elle I have wrapped her once before, and we got great results. She has decided to go with the "Fit pack vanilla" to start. Elle, has been following a point based weight loss system for a while, bt is looking to give it a bit if a boost. She has calculated the PROfit when mixed with water is 2 points and the greens when mixed with water is .2 according to the program she is following. Elle started using her fit pack a couple days ago.

 My second volunteer is Julie. She purchased the "Fit pack" as well (just in chocolate), and chose to add the thermofit to it. Julie has chosen to video diary her experience for us! She has in the past tried several different weightloss systems and haven't found one that has been successful for her. So I am excited to see how the It Works! System works for her.
